headerFAQs - Vendor Involvement

● Q: What is the difference between vendor and user members?

A: Very little! – Both users and vendors work in partnership to discuss the issues and develop recommendations, papers and other output. However to ensure independence; vendor members may not vote on final workgroup output, and may not stand for election to the board of management.

● Q: How should vendors get involved?

A: Decide who best in your organisation should be involved, typically your R&D people or your CTO, and contact the Jericho Forum via the web site.

● Q: What safeguards are there that a large vendor will exert undue influence?

A: Vendor members may not vote on final workgroup output, and may not stand for election to the board of management.

The Jericho Forum board of management are committed to ensure that the Forum and the brand are both independent and perceived to be independent of any undue vendor influence.

● Q: Can a vendor use the Jericho Forum Logo?

A: We are delighted if any member (vendor or user) wants to publicise that they are Jericho Forum members. However the logo may only be used to indicate membership / support for the Jericho Forum. It may not be used to imply Jericho Forum compliance or certification for any product or service.
