Architecture Practitioners' Conference Proceedings
Proceedings of the Third Conference, October 2004, New Orleans
This CD-ROM contains the proceedings of the Third Architecture Practitioners' Conference, which took place on October 19-21, 2004 in New Orleans, LA, hosted by The Open Group Architecture Forum. The Architecture Practitioners' Conferences are a series of intense, two-day events focused on how enterprise architecture can best contribute to creating real business value. They provide experience-based insight into the approaches and methods that have proved most effective for developing enterprise architectures around the world, and clarify the limitations that exist in this emerging field. The sub-theme of the Architecture Practitioners' Conference series is 'Making IT Pay: Using EA to Create Business Value, Control Costs, and Generate Real RoI', and in line with that theme the New Orleans Conference focused particularly on how enterprise architecture can best contribute to creating real business value, and provided a wealth of current case study and tutorial material. The CD-ROM contains 33 of the presentations from the conference, together with a detailed description of each presentation, and biographies of the presenters.
